Campu Rumanilu, unforgettable views

The Campu Rumanilu path is an easy, spectacular and truly unforgettable walk. It's a wide path that runs alongside steep cliffs offering breathtaking views of the town of Bonifacio and the coast of Sardinia. There's no shade on the path, so make sure you're properly equipped. Don't forget your swimming costume. Allow 2:30 hours for the round trip.

The route starts from the Saint Roch chapel, via a paved path.

You'll soon reach a panoramic terrace overlooking the ‘grain de Sable’, Bonifacio's most famous rock, which has broken away from the chalk cliffs and which erosion by the sea has sullied over time, narrowing its base. Immediately beyond is the town's former abattoir, set back from the cliffside for reasons of hygiene.

You can decide to turn back or go down to the beach of the three points. The path is quite steep, so take care if you are planning this excursion with children. Along the way, you'll pass the ruined remains of artillery positions and troop houses dating from the Second World War.

Here, you won't find white sandy beaches but large limestone slabs smoothed by the sea. From here, you can enjoy a lovely view of Bonifacio. Plage des trois pointes is also an ideal spot for snorkelling or diving in the translucent waters.

Length of walk : 2.30 hours
